Things are picking up now though the experiment is still at a very early stage just a couple of hours in. We're at about a 1100 ranking position shift since I started recording control figures yesterday and importantly the rate at which popularity is increasing is also going up.
Some people have asked if I'll be flooding Digg with posts every hour - and I can assure you that to do so would harm the experiment. No search engine is interested in that kind of content and one of the most interesting graphs that needs to be built is a link spiderweb in the days after the experiment has concluded.
This will show how from two simple interlinking sources, large scale web promotion is easy to achieve. Other people have asked if I'll be charging for the final articles detailing how to achieve these goals which slightly flummoxed me.
The short answer is no, the statistics I'm able to gather from this experiment are to a search engineer like myself extremely useful and that's payment enough.
